The high school band, choir, jazz band and jazz choir had clinics with Drexel University music professors, and got some great feedback on their performances. They professors showed the students new rehearsal techniques, cleaned up some musical nuances, and worked on style and performance presentation.
The students also got to go on a Duck Tour of Philadelphia (which ended in a cruise down the Delaware River), saw the Liberty Bell, and went on a walking ghost tour of Philadelphia's most haunted colonial buildings. In our down time, we got to go bowling and played laser tag! On the way home, we stopped in New York City to see a show on Broadway. It was a busy weekend!
I just wanted to write a quick note to tell the students that traveled on the trip that I am so incredibly proud of you. You represented Stoughton in the best possible way I could have imagined, all while having a great time and making some wonderful music. Thank you so much for your flexibility, your attentiveness, your kindness and your respect.
